Best AI for social media

As of 2026-07-18, Anthropic: Claude Opus 4.8 (Fast) is the strongest model for this task in our daily benchmark, where over 350 AI models are evaluated and the best are presented.

Posts are short text, and short text exposes weak language ability immediately. There is nowhere to hide: one stiff sentence and the post smells of AI.

For social media we rank by language quality, because tone is the entire difference. Ranked by language score, from today’s benchmark.

Avoid the LinkedIn voice

Language models have read enormous amounts of marketing copy and fall back on it unless told otherwise. The result is posts that open with a rhetorical question and close with a call to action nobody asked for. Ask explicitly for the opposite: no emojis, no hashtags, no call to action, write like a person telling you something.

Use AI for variants, not finished text

The best workflow is to write the post yourself and ask for five alternative opening lines. That gives you the variation models are good at while keeping the voice that is yours.

hvilkenAI is independent. We have no affiliate agreements, sponsored placements or commercial ties to the AI providers we test. Every recommendation rests on test results alone.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI writes the best posts?
The ranking above comes from today’s benchmark, where we evaluate over 350 models and present the strongest on the language.
Can people tell a post is AI-written?
Often yes. It is rarely the language itself that gives it away, but the generic structure: rhetorical question, three points, call to action.
Do I have to label AI-generated content?
For plain text there is no general requirement today, but for AI-generated images and video that could be mistaken for real footage, labelling is entering the rules.
Can AI come up with what to post?
It can suggest angles from what you give it. But it does not know what is actually happening in your company, and posts without concrete substance are noticed instantly.
