How to use these pages
Each task page ranks models by what actually matters for that task. For translation and email, language quality dominates, because text in stiff, English-flavoured Norwegian cannot be sent. For customer service and everyday chat, speed matters, because an answer that arrives too late is not an answer. For summaries, meeting notes and spreadsheets, precision in following instructions decides it, because the output either meets the format or is useless. Every ranking states what it is sorted by, so you can judge whether that is the right criterion for you.

hvilkenAI is independent. We have no affiliate agreements, sponsored placements or commercial ties to the AI providers we test. Every model runs through the same standardised tasks each morning, in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. The model selection is dynamic: new models are picked up automatically, and models that weaken drop out. That is why the numbers here move — the market moves.
